The Impact Enterprise Awards shine a spotlight on the heart of social and environmental impact leaders in Texas. With a mission to celebrate and honor the tireless efforts of trailblazing organizations, we recognize those who prove that impact enterprises can be a force for good. Join us in celebrating excellence in creating lasting, meaningful change across the Lone Star State.
The Inclusive Economy Consortium, Hunt Institute for Engineering & Humanity, and their partners are launching the Texas Impact Enterprise Awards to recognize the progress that entities across sectors are making toward climate-smart inclusive economic development. Using a decentralized and transparent process, Ecosystem Partners nominate and select impact enterprises with the greatest potential for scaled impact. Awardees will be announced in May 2024 at a celebratory event.
The term Impact Enterprise captures a multitude of organizations, from social enterprises to small businesses, corporations, nonprofits, and even government entities, that strategically utilize business strategies and leverage market forces to create positive environmental or societal impact aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Ecosystem Partners are themselves impact enterprises that play an instrumental role as leaders in their respective ecosystems.
The design of the award is grounded in international best practices and ongoing research on impact enterprises. The process follows a networked and decentralized approach to nominations and evaluations that taps into the collective intelligence of Ecosystem Partners and minimizes biases.
There will be no "winners" or "losers." All nominated impact enterprises will be recognized by being added to ImpactMap. Those with the highest aggregate scores will be recognized with the Impact Enterprise Award.
